Bills wide receiver Kelvin Benjamin is considered day-to-day

by

The Bills have downplayed wide receiver Kelvin Benjamin's injury since the he was carted off the field in Week 11, but they admitted on Monday that his knee issue is more serious than initially believed and according to ESPN's Mike Rodak, it was confirmed that Benjamin has a torn meniscus.

"Bills confirm Kelvin Benjamin has a torn meniscus. Sean McDermott misunderstood a question about his injury today." (@mikerodak)

Bill head coach Sean McDermott previously said that reports of Benjamin having a torn meniscus were not true, but then he said he misunderstood the question. McDermott probably didn't know that the Bills were going to reveal the extent of Benjamin's injury.

It was reported that Benjamin didn't suffer ligament damage and that his injury was not long-term but it seems he will miss significant time. The good news is that he didn't tear his ACL again, but a torn meniscus is also a serious injury, especially considering Benjamin'shistory of knee problems.
